What is it like to live in Lisbon? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
I love living in Lisbon, I have always new things do to. There are a lot of music shows, museums, street culture, I just can't describe all the city in a sentence.
What is the student lifestyle like in Lisbon?
We have university parties every week. Normaly we go out on Wendesnay, Thursday, Fridays and Saturday. At morning or afternoon we have classes and then we study, and when we don't, we go discover new places in Lisbon.
How much does it cost to live in Lisbon?
It's really cheap, like a coffee is 0, 60 cents, a meal in cantene is 2, 65 euros, rooms 300 euros with everyting, transports pass 30 euros and a good meal 5 or 6 euros. Normally we spend 400 or 500 per month.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Lisbon? Is there any advice you can give?
Prices are increasing, but are cheap for peoples who are from expensive countries. It's not difficult, there are a lot of rooms just for students in residence. I advice to find accomodation in "Bquarto", "OLX" and "Uniplaces".
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
I love portuguese food. I like "Carne Porco à Alentejana", "Sopa de peixe", "Cozido à Portuguesa".
What places would you recommend visiting in Lisbon?
Sintra, Belém, Parque das Nações, Alfama, Baixa-Chiado, Rossio, Madragoa.
Is it good to eat out in Lisbon? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
I like to drink tea in a awesome old tea house in Rua de São Bento. I like to eat in Botica in Avenida de Dom Carlos.
Is the nightlife good in Lisbon? Where is good to go?
We go to Bairro Alto and Santos.
What advice would you give future students heading to Lisbon?
Bring summer clothes, get a buddy by ESN, try portuguese beer.
