Why did you choose to go to Lisbon, Portugal?

Lisbon is one of the most beautiful capitals in Europe, famous for its colors and mild climate.

I wanted to deal with another culture, more calm and friendly.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

The scholarship was 5 months. I received € 250 per month.

What is the student lifestyle like in Lisbon?

The student lifestyle is funny, superfull about stuff to do and cheap.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Lisbon to other students?

I think when you live in Lisbon for 5 months, it's difficult to come back home, especially in the summer or in the beginning of September and October. Yes, I would like to recommend the city and the university.

What is the food like?

I loved the pastel de bacalao, also the others portuguese food.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Lisbon?

It costed € 350 for month in a double room.

How much does it cost to live in Lisbon?

Like € 700 for month about room, food and trips.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

I had a portuguese course in the university, one day for week in 4 month. I think it's simple to learn portuguese. I lived with three portuguese girls in my house and I learned portuguese during these 5 months.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Lisbon from your city?

The flights from Lisbon to Pisa.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Lisbon?

Pink Street, Bairro Alto and Anjos 70.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Lisbon?

The Popolo restaurant, in front of IADE. Abusive chinese restaurants in Martim Moniz. Breakfast at Jeronymo café. BouBou's (isn't cheap, but super good). Aperitivo at H10. Don Costini in Saldanha. Time out Market.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

My favourite places were Centro Cultural de Belém and Convento do Carmo.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Lisbon in the future?

Don't fall in love with Lisbon if you can't stay more of your Erasmus' time.
