Why did you choose to go to Lisbon, Portugal?

Because of the weather and everyone told me that it is a beautiful city. I have never been here before, so I wanted to experience something new.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

6 months long. I receive 230 euro per month.

What is the student lifestyle like in Lisbon?

I study at the Catolica University, so it's really hard to enjoy Lisbon properly - too much workload. But it's pretty cool (the city/environment).

Would you recommend the city and the University of Lisbon to other students?

Yes, of course! But the University is very demanding.

What is the food like?

It's good, but nothing special, actually.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Lisbon?

We found it through Uniplaces.pt, the website. But next time we will try to fix an appointment to see the house before concluding the contract.

How much does it cost to live in Lisbon?

Including the house rent, it is between 450-550 euro per month, more or less. It depends on your lifestyle.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes, it is, but it is easy to learn Portuguese because it is really similar to Italian, and I'm attending a Portuguese course here in my Portuguese University.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Lisbon from your city?

By plane.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Lisbon?

Bairro Alto/Baixa-Chiado.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Lisbon?

Pastelerias.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Belem, Castelo de S. Jorge, they really worth it.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Lisbon in the future?

Enjoy the Erasmus, go surfing and choose the second semester to go to Lisbon for Erasmus, the weather is amazing!
