Why did you choose to go to Lisbon, Portugal?
Because of the language and the good weather
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
I was there for four months and i received 500€, more or less.
What is the student lifestyle like in Lisbon?
It's similar than the spanish lifestyle: going out late, talk to everybody in the street, lower prices to have a beer or a drink, nice people.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Lisbon to other students?
Yes, i recommend the city and the Universidad Técnica de Lisboa. Nice teachers and colleagues, but my faculty was far form the city center.
What is the food like?
A lot of rice and fish. You have to taste the Bacalhau a Brás, one of the most typical portuguese food.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Lisbon?
Yes, maybe it's better take a look before arriving in Lisbon.
How much does it cost to live in Lisbon?
Right now with the crisis, everything is much expensive, but the food and drinks are available.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
Of course, for the spanish and the italian people. However, the rest of european have more difficulties, but no so much.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Lisbon from your city?
Bus to Madrid and then the plane to Lisbon.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Lisbon?
Bairro Alto, of course.
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
Praça do comerco, Baixa, the castle, Feria da ladra, monasterio dos jeronimos...
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Lisbon in the future?
