Quiet special city in Belgium, historically the city has been an independant place untill modern time, and people living here have this typical independant mind and a proudness about their city that you dont find in many other belgian cities.
What is the student lifestyle like in Liege?
Very active student city with over the year a few really big traditionel student celebrations which turns to be huge party days.
How much does it cost to live in Liege?
Average compare to other belgian cities.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Liege? Is there any advice you can give?
Not really difficult as the student activities has developed a real market in renting business.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
Traditionel Liege meat balls "boulets" served with delicious brown beer sauce.
What places would you recommend visiting in Liege?
- The stairs of "Montagne de Burn" will bring you to a very nice city view.
- The main train station of the city is a world class piece of modern architecture.
- the sunday market "la Batte" is a very crowdy and multi cultural experience.
- Also to feel the Liege fans mind, to attent to a football game of the "Standard" can be cool experience.
Is it good to eat out in Liege? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Plenty of very good places, all level of prices all kind of food.
Is the nightlife good in Liege? Where is good to go?
"Le Carré", where are concentrate a big numbers of bars and cafe, is a cool place any night of the week, many different style of bars, music...
The biggest club are more in the suburbs though.
What advice would you give future students heading to Liege?
Take time to find good accommodation, there is good choice.
