Why did you choose to go to Liege, Belgium?

Because that was the only French speaking country I could choose.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

5 months - 400e/month (in the reality, it's less because there are some free days also). Now, I'm extending my stay for another 5 months.

What is the student lifestyle like in Liege?

Party! And studying hard, of course :) but that really depends on which country you come from and what you are gonna to study.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Liege to other students?

Definitely.

What is the food like?

Lil bit stoge.. French fries are everywhere! And chocolate and beer! And Liege meatballs :)

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Liege?

It was difficult because I was searching something just for 5 months... and accommodation is expensive in here.

How much does it cost to live in Liege?

Much :D usually between 300-400e/month. Good to know that the rent may not include the charges (internet, electricity, washing machine.. ).

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available in the University?

French is not the easy one... but if you use it, it will go! But you can always study in English, depends on your programme :) Yes, university offers language courses - the French one is usually obligate but you receive credits for it and its for free for Erasmus students (must have in the LA).

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Liege from your city?

Plane.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Liege?

Le Carré!

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Liege?

Restaurants are expensive :/ but there is one food shop with french fries near Boulevard pont D'Avroy.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Idk... but you should definitely visit Foire d´Octobre, le village de Noel, Sunday market and many others... there is always something.

Is there any other advice that you could give to future students who are going to Liege?

Just don't be afraid... and don't speak so much with people from your own country... there is always plenty time to do it but there won´t be the chance to speak with Belgian people always...
