Why did you choose to go to Liege, Belgium?

Because it is place where people speak French.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

It takes one semester or 4 months. From Erasmus ford I took about 400 euros per month.

What is the student lifestyle like in Liege?

Hard to say, I lived in dormitory behind city center of Liege, but there is everything to live a full life.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Liege to other students?

Probably it depends on the University, but I definitely recommend the city.

What is the food like?

A lot of bread, spaghetti and fried food, but the average of the plate is quite big.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Liege?

I lived in dormitory, the University proposed me a place, so it wants a problem.

How much does it cost to live in Liege?

It cost me about 300 euros per month including 3 times meal.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

For the person who never spoke French it wasn't easy at all, but there was a French language course in University.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Liege from your city?

I know three the most popular lowcost ways: Wizzair, Ryanair and student agency, but as I know some flights have been cancelled.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Liege?

Definately Le Carré.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Liege?

Dont know any..

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Museums and galleries in city center.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Liege in the future?

  • Try to get to Erasmus without friends or people you know and share the same language.
  • Try to get in touch with as many students (or generally people) as possible.
  • Travel by train with Gopass.
  • Study languages in personal communication.
  • Participate in local activities.
  • Enjoy!
