What is the student lifestyle like in Hannover?

It's very good, it has an incredible university, it's nothing like a Spanish university, I was very surprised because everyone participates in class here - the classes seem like rather dynamic groups. Furthermore, there are very few people who come to the university so those who do are really good in the subject they study. The teachers worry about you during the whole course, especially with Erasmus students.

What is the food like?

Well, all students in Hanover have lunch at the university because it is super cheap in the dining room they have, so you only have to worry about dinner, and the truth is that Germany has many Spanish products, and with respect to restaurants their food is very good.

How did you find accommodation?

Well, I found it difficult to find accommodation, but I think it was just me being the only one, because all my colleagues found somewhere easily, there are also many Spaniards there, and even a Spanish neighbourhood. There is no problem in finding accommodation, the university almost always gets you a room in a residence and, if not, there is always some apartment that you can rent with other students, but you have to hurry, the places go fast,

What is the price of accommodation? And the prices in general?

Accommodation prices are the same or cheaper than in Spain and prices in general depend on... There are people who say that Germany is very expensive, and it is not, there are products that are a little more expensive than in Spain, but there are also cheaper products than there are in Spain, so they compensate for the more expensive ones. I spent the same amount as I would have spent in Spain.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the university?

The language, well, German is quite difficult, at least for me, but with English you can go everywhere, there everyone can speak English and when I say everyone, even the people you least expect, everyone! Anyway, the University of Hanover gives several language courses both in English and German.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Hanover is a very nice city, but also very new, there are things to visit like the town hall and a church in the center and they are the only ones left standing after World War II. Then you can visit the center, because the buildings are very nice, the lake... There is a red line that takes you around the city where you can follow everything in Hanover.
