What is it like to live in Hannover? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Hannover is a city full of students. The transport works excellent, the bars are nice and the people are friendly. If you want to go to Germany for an Erasmus, I can recommend Hannover but I´d prefer to go to Berlin. Berlin never sleeps but Hannover does!

What is the student lifestyle like in Hannover?

During weekdays, the city is very quiet in the night, so it´s better to go out at the weekend.

How much does it cost to live in Hannover?

A flat with other students costs approximately between 180-300, depending on the location.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Hannover? Is there any advice you can give?

I would recommend Wg-Gesucht or taking a look on a newspapers called HAZ every Wednesday and Saturday. Better be fast!

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Food is like everywhere else.

What places would you recommend visiting in Hannover?

What advice would you give future students heading to Hannover?

Try to get a flat somewhere in the center, for example in Mitte, Südstadt, Nordstadt or Oststadt. List is also a nice location.
