Traditional sweets
Portugal is known for its unique cuisine. Évora is no different. When you're visiting the city there are some things you must eat!
Pastelaria Conventual Pão de Rala is the best place to try portuguese sweets in Évora. It is a traditional bakery that sells the most typical cakes and sweets. Their recipies have more than one hundred years and still appeal to people.
I recommend trying Queijinho do céu, a sweet that looks like a small cheese but is actually made of almonds and eggs - really tasty! But almost anything you buy from this store will be great!
Price
The sweets costs from 1, 60 to 3 euros depending on the one you choose. It's not very cheap, but it isn't expensive either. I believe it is a fair price and totally worth it!
Location
The bakery is really close to the city center - about 8 minute walking from Praça do Giraldo, or 5 minutes from Igreja de São Francisco, so it shouldn't be a problem to get there.
Also, the streets that surround it are really cute and quiet. Great for walking after having an afternooon snack.
