What is it like to live in Evora? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Live in Evora is really good. In Evora u live a quiet life. The city off Evora is world Heritage. The city is small and everything is close u can go by walk to all places. There are many supermarkets near the city. I recommend Evora to live and to visit it's really beautiful.

What is the student lifestyle like in Evora?

The student lifestyle in Evora is very good. You make friendship very easy because students are very friendly. For example on my first day of university I met all students of my course and also students from biochemistry, engineering and some others courses.

How much does it cost to live in Evora?

It depends on where u want to rent a house to live during your stay in Evora. There are lots of places and houses to rent. The most expensive are within the walls of Evora and the cost is around 300€-400€ but u can find cheaper if u search well. The cheapest are around the city and u can find houses around 200€-300€. These houses are about 20min-30min of the center of Evora. There are residences too but I dont know exactly how much u pay there but it rounds the 100€.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Evora? Is there any advice you can give?

It´s not difficult to find house in Evora. I advise that who wants to come to Evora to come 1 or 2 months before the start of classes to find a good house. You can find houses to rent on the advertising boards at the entrance of the universities.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food is really good. You can find some good restaurants in Evora but some can be expensive. The cheapest restaurants are near the University. My favourite dishes are Bitoque, Migas à Alentejana and Carne de porco à Alentejana.

What places would you recommend visiting in Evora?

It´s good to eat out in Evora. There are lots of restaurants. I don´t remember the name of any restaurant.

Is the nightlife good in Evora? Where is good to go?

The nightlife is good in Evora. There are lots of places to go at night between them are "Praxis Club, Dark Side Rock Bar, Capítulo 8, Sociedade Harmonia Eborense, Passion, EME and many more.

What advice would you give future students heading to Evora?

I advice the students that Evora is a nice and calm place to study, with a lot of cultural places to visit and great food. Come willing to study and have lots of fun.
