What is it like to live in Evora? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Évora is a beautiful cith where you can go anywhere by foot. There are partys everyday and the people are nice and frendly.
It can be extremelly warm in the Summer, but it doen't rain a lot and the winters aren't really that cold.
How much does it cost to live in Evora?
You can live well with 450€ per month, but it all depends in how much you spens renting a house.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Evora? Is there any advice you can give?
It's a small city so finding a place to stau can be hard. There's groups on facebook for that purpouse but you can also find places on websites.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
The food is a lot based in porc meat and vegetables. They also have very good wine casts in this regio, as in the entire country.
You really should try Carne de Porco á Alentejana and Açorda as also Migas, all traditional dishes of this region.
What places would you recommend visiting in Evora?
The Roman temple
The Sé Catedral
Sociedade Harmonia Eborense( a lot of Cultural events and parties).
You can't leave Évora without visiting the astonishing Capela Dos Ossos, you will be surprised!
The main building of the university (Colegio Espirito Santo or CES).
There're a lot of museums you can visit like Museu da Fundação Eugénio de Almeida, where you can visit the old palace, the librarie and have a coffee in a very cute place!
There's a lot to visit around Evora, and the landscapes are breathtaking, you really should go and have a picnic somewhere!

Sociedade Joaquim António de Aguiar or JAA sometimes has very nice concerts specially portuguese rock bands.
If you want to drink beer and pay really low prices go to Bar Académico dos Seis Tetos, or only Tetos as we call it. There's also a academic bar called Barue with a spectacular terrace to spend the warm afternoons (and nights) drinking beer with friends and having a good time.
Also sometimes there's parties outdoors organized by the students, like the Receção Ao Bicho in the end of October, several Arraiais during the eyear, and the week of Queima in the end of May where the students who finishe their studies celebrate with all the community.
