Why did you choose to go to Evora, Portugal?

Because of the University (it is one of the oldest in europe) and climate.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

My scholarship is a bit less than 6 months and in total I receive about 1700€

What is the student lifestyle like in Evora?

The University is good and the professors very helpfull, a bit of studying or exercises for house but not too much.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Evora to other students?

For sure yes, but not for more than a year.
You get to know EVERYONE!it is a quite small town and so very easy to go anywhere and meet anytime.

What is the food like?

Good, the same as in hall europe.
They have very strict horarios compering with Greece.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Evora?

No my buddy helped me.

How much does it cost to live in Evora?

It costs about 230€/month. I just want to sugest if someone comes to Evora and wants a house don't search only inside the walls. Because all erasmus want houses inside the walls to be near to the center but if you go outside the walls the houses are better and you will have to walk just 5 minutes more.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

There are free language classes at the University in different levels.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Evora from your city?

There are cheap buses from lisbon and Porto and there is also a bus from madrid (ALSA) with 30-40 €. So you can take a plane for any city you like and then a bus directly to Evora

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Evora?

Firstly I would highly recommend houses, either for party or for mouvies and dinner.. Cause you start to feel like family some of the Kids.. Then there are a few pubs and two big bars where the one is designed for erasmus.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Evora?

There are a lot of restaurants you can find everything to eat..

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Chaple of bones
Templo de Diana
Church of st Francis
The cathedral
Megalithic Stones
And the hall old city which is inside the walls.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Evora in the future?

I guarantee that you will have a great time..
