How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

It is a 2 year scholarship program.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Evora to other students?

Of course, I would.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Evora?

No it did not cost me because accommodation was arranged by my consortium prior to my arrival. However, for those who would not choose to live in the student hostels, it is pretty easy to find alternative accommodation within Evora city. One can easily get brochures/leaflets with available rental rooms and contacts.

How much does it cost to live in Evora?

Average of 200-300 Euros monthly for accommodation outside student residence. Much cheaper in student residencies.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Language depends with interest and maybe practice. It is pretty easy to get the basics. Yes, there are language courses available.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Evora?

Harmonia, within the Geraldo Square.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Actually, there are many. Evora is a UNESCO World Heritage site, so there is pretty much cultural sites to see.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Evora in the future?

Get a good map of Evora for ease of getting around the city.
