It is awesome! Join any student association to meet a lot of people. There are very much parties, awesome typical 'borrel-nights' tuesdays/thursdays.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

I live in a student house with 14 other students. We enjoy dinners together; mostly pasta, wraps and rice. We do definitely eat enough vegetibles too. My house prefers chicken; almost every student likes meat.

What places would you recommend visiting in Enschede?

The pakkerij (house of student associations), the sports cente on campus, 't Gat' (dirty bar in Enschede centre to end a drunk night). Free swimming pool on campus. Go ice skating!

Is it good to eat out in Enschede? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

In the centre you can eat a good meal for about 10 EU, it's called 'daghap' and focussed on students. Pro-tip: Have an ice cream at Van de Poel; awesome ice!

Is the nightlife good in Enschede? Where is good to go?

There are multiple bars at the old market. Students go here to party and have a drink together, typically at Tuesdays and Thursdays. The music is often pop. I really like sing-a-long music, the thing is though you have to make your night awesome yourself! Walk around and chat with random people, enjoy!

What advice would you give future students heading to Enschede?

Definitely join an association! You'll get to meet awesome people and do fun stuff together!
