Why did you choose to go to Enschede, Netherlands?

For Enschede it was not a choice. I was just interested by the company where I did my internship. But I was interested by the Netherlands because it's a near European neighbour and I heard that they have beautiful city like Amsterdam.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I am not a student here, just a trainee.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Enschede to other students?

The city, not really because it's a new city it's not a really nice place, with a beautiful architecture. I recommend you Rotterdam, and Utrecht, or Amsterdam. But if you don't have a choice, you are close to Germany and there are nice bars to have a drink.

What is the food like?

Dutch people eat differently. At lunch they eat sandwiches or soup and during the day they nibble.

They don't really have a culinary culture. But you can find a lot of restaurant with dishes from all over the world and it's a good point. Be careful because Dutch people eat very early (12:00 and 18:00).

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Enschede?

Yes because I found my accommodation with an agency. Use the Facebook groups! There are three interesting groups for students (Saxion: International Students Enschede; University of Twente - Marketplace; Apartments in Enschede - Saxion students). With these groups you can find a good accommodation without having to pay the agency's fee, and you can buy furniture at a low cost). Enjoy!

The same price than in other city in The Netherlands. Generally, it's the same price than in France. Only the price of gasoline is higher and strong alcohol is also really expensive.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available in the University?

I don't know, but in The Netherlands everyone speaks English very well.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Enschede from your city?

It depends, I believe that students have a discount for trains. But I am not a student here, so I came with my car.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Enschede?

Paddy's bar; Molly Malone; Fellini,

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Enschede?

Los Ponchos.
