What is the student lifestyle like in Dresden?

It is great, there are a lot of museums and parties and stuff like this.

How much does it cost to live in Dresden?

An accommodation is 200-300€. Food and drink around 25-50 week. Transport for studies 200€ for 6 months in the complete Saxony.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Dresden? Is there any advice you can give?

The best is to search for a room in the student hall or in a shared flat.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The cafeteria/restaurants of University are very good and have small prices 2-4€ per meal.

What places would you recommend visiting in Dresden?

• Saxony switzerland,
• The old town and the New town,
• Castle Moritzburg where a very famous movie was filmed ("Three Nuts For Cinderella"),
• The City of Meißen.

Is it good to eat out in Dresden? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes there is a very good vietnamese Restaurant on the Albertplatz (New town), there is also a Hans im Glück (burger) at the Altmarkt.

Is the nightlife good in Dresden? Where is good to go?

The complete new town or some Student Clubs like Club Mensa or Club 11.

What advice would you give future students heading to Dresden?

Enjoy your stay and make some trips in and around Dresden. A great museum is the Panometer in the "Gaskessel" which shows a Panorama of the historic Dresden.
