Why did you choose to go to Dresden, Germany?

Source

Because I’m studying foreign languages, in particular English and German.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I received 250€ per month for a total of 10 months.

What is the student lifestyle like in Dresden?

Amazing. There’s always loads of things to do for students, especially with the ESN organisation, but not only. Besides the city is really lively.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Dresden to other students?

Absolutely yes! Regarding the university system is so different from, for example Italy, where I live. Generally speaking students are more active during class periods and they are often asked to do presentations or hand in papers or writings depending on the lectures.

What is the food like?

Is not terrible but definitely not my favourite kind. I guess it depends on your taste.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Dresden?

No, absolutely no. Before going to Dresden, the university itself gave me information about where to live. There are many options, but I recommend staying in one of the university Wohnheim.

How much does it cost to live in Dresden?

Not much, eating out always etc eventually could be a little expensive, but if you are a little careful about it is really feasible.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Well, is not a secret that German is not really that easy, but it also depends on how much effort you out into it. And yes, the university (Tudias) provides language courses ranging from Chinese to Spanish or many many other languages.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Dresden from your city?

Flight to Berlin Tegel or Schönefeld and from there Flixbus or Regiojet to Dresden.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Dresden?

Neustadt.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Dresden?

Vapiano, l’Osteria.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

All the Altstadt part and Neustadt as well, is very different but the vibe is amazing.
