Why did you choose to go to Dresden, Germany?

Tuition free education and low cost of living.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

What is the student lifestyle like in Dresden?

Very lively.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Dresden to other students?

Yes.

What is the food like?

Good food.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Dresden?

No. I just registered with the Studentenwerk and they just gave me a room. Though it comes with monthly rental charges.

How much does it cost to live in Dresden?

It depends on individual lifestyle. For me, between 400 - 500 Euros.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Its not easy to understand the language. There are several language courses available but one will have to pay.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Dresden from your city?

For me the only option was by air.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Dresden?

I like the Asian Restaurants. The food is good and there a good number of them in Dresden.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

The Museum, the zoo.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Dresden in the future?

Dresden is a nice city. Relatively calm and cost of living is low. It's a good place to consider for studies if you are conscious about your finances.
