What is it like to live in Craiova? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Easy to get from here to there. I would recommend it for sure, if you like long strolls in one of the biggest parks in Europe and if you are prepared to party.

What is the student lifestyle like in Craiova?

Firstly, it is very cheap. Secondly, the University is 2 minutes away from the old centre, the National Theatre and a cinema. Campuses are all over the city, so you get to explore it a lot.

How much does it cost to live in Craiova?

It's cheaper than Bucharest, which is also extremely cheap compared to all the capitals in the western Europe.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Craiova? Is there any advice you can give?

It is not hard to find accommodation and for 150 € you can find a studio that fits you perfectly (and live alone or accompanied). And the furthest from the University it can get is 50 minutes walk.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

At mostly every corner you can find cheap bakeries, from where you can purchase pretzels and soft pastries. Pizza places are abundant as well, there's also a pizza place where they put leek on it (leek symbolises this southern area of Romania, Oltenia). More and more kebap and shawarma fast foods are opened each year. These kind of foods are preferred by young people, but if you prefer to cook it yourself, the farmer's markets may be the solution for you.
