Living in Craiova

Craiova is a fantastic city and I fell in love with it. Not very big, but it offers a lot of entertainment. The city center is very well organized, you can find all kinds of bars/pubs with music until late. The restaurants are very good, but I recommend the "chifla" from "Maestro" in front of the English Park.It's so good! Try every kind of Romanian soup (Ciorba), they are amazing! Everything is very cheap, cabs, beer and even shopping at the supermarket is great. The most convenient way to get around the city are the taxi, they are cheap and available at any time and bookable through the app "barby taxi" .
It is cold in the winter, but it is bearable.
Craiova is very nice and quiet, outside the city center is the train station, for erasmus students with the university booklet of the university, trains are free so it's great for traveling throughout Romania. It is a wonderful state. Don't be afraid, travel around the state as much as possible. Bucharest, the capital, is a 2/3 hour train ride away (depending on what kind of train you find), it's very convenient and arrives directly at the airport.
It was an unforgettable experience in Craiova.
(I recommend staying at the Dorm offered by the University, most of the Erasmus students stay there and therefore much of the experience is also that)
