Why did you choose to go to Cluj-Napoca, Romania?

I went there by accident and ended up deciding to live there.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I received nothing.

What is the student lifestyle like in Cluj-Napoca?

Students in Cluj are partying all the time.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Cluj-Napoca to other students?

Yes of course I would.

What is the food like?

The food is very good, fresh, affordable and diverse.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Cluj-Napoca?

Yes but not much. I lived in a rented apartment.

How much does it cost to live in Cluj-Napoca?

Not very much. You can live live like a king (or Queen) for 500€ per month.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

The language is latin based so easy for Spanish, Italian and French speakers. Most people speak english though so there was never an issue.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Cluj-Napoca from your city?

Fly.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Cluj-Napoca?

Just pick a place and go. If you don't like it try someone else. There are many good places depending on personal preference.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Cluj-Napoca?

Same as above. Look out for the daily lunch specials

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

The Turda Salt mine and the surrounding villages also the music is a must see.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Cluj-Napoca in the future?

Just go there and have fun.
