Networking
Networking has become a big part of my journey in writing and training. I went to all the networking events as much as possible anytime I arrived in any new places. I spent most of the time on events where people have similar interests as me. However, I also allocated my time on networks of people doing things that are totally different. By doing it, I found I broaden my horizonal easier.
Here are some networks to visit:
The motivation group

It is my own meetup. I created the meetup when I was in Vietnam. I was happy to see 37 signed up
to be members after 3 days. More interestingly, 9 people signed up for the first meetup.
I chose a location by referring to other meetup where I saw a lot of people joining.
It is a super exciting story for me because later on I found a room nearby that area with even
knowing that. The post office that I chose to get my BRP also nearby that area.
On 13 Sept, I went to the first meetup of myself and found that the bar was closed.
I decided to create another event that week – on 16 Sept, there was 1 member showed up following
by a great time joining other meetup.
What I like about the meetup:
- Venue: a lovely authentic bar with comfortable areas for sitting with a big group
- Agenda: Monday which is great for keeping the momentum of the whole week
- People: really experienced and passionate people
- Values: adding extremely values via speed-coaching sessions to members.
The Gloucester road pub collective (25ish to 40ish)

40ish/events/233488004/
What I like about the meetup.
- Location: in a busy street, an authentic lovely bar
- Members: interesting people from all over
- Agenda: just drinking, or just chitchatting
- I would suggest to take photos more often
I met Ruari who was extremely excited to tell his stories. He knows a lot. It was nice of him to make
another appointment with me to show me how to do bouldering.
And the most important person that you want to often communicate with is yourself. I often go for running and listening to what my thoughts were. It is a way of becoming more present.
Here's what you can do to connect with your inner self more:
- Often check in what are your thoughts right now
- Free your thoughts by becoming an observer
- Going for a walk or run or hike to the nature every week
- Writing more
