What is it like to live in Bristol? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

The harbourside is just one of the cities greatest assets - really buzzing but also great for a peaceful walk. Although Bristol has a large population, the city is easy to get around and feels quite small. There's lots of distinct areas that each feel like a community.

What is the student lifestyle like in Bristol?

Lots of bars, lots of clubs and also lots of ways to get involved in the city beyond the nightlife. A great music scene, and there always seems to be something going on.

How much does it cost to live in Bristol?

Probably one of the downsides to Bristol is it's not the cheapest - although a far cry from London prices I do find myself getting jealous of my friends in Manchester when we talk about how cheap a night out etc is.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Bristol? Is there any advice you can give?

Sadly, Bristol has a bit of a notorious reputation for its lack of housing and the high cost of it, but don't be put off! Starting the hunt early enough is definitely wise!

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

SO many nice places to eat it's very easy to spend money! One of my favourite places is St Nicks Market with it's collection of streetfood stalls, from Moroccan tagines to falafel and hummus there's an amazing variety and a couple of the stalls have chairs outside if you want to hang around and soak up the atmosphere.

What places would you recommend visiting in Bristol?

Stokes Croft - for the graffiti and for a good bar crawl.
Clifton - for the bridge (a Bristol icon) and an array of cute cafés to spend the afternoon in.
Bristol is also a shot train ride from Bath and Weston Super Mare.
