What is it like to live in Bristol? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Absolutely love it, everyone does. Very relaxed, independent, quirky feel to the city. Something for everyone.

What is the student lifestyle like in Bristol?

UoB students are renowned for being pretty apathetic in that the student union for example is not busy. The events that the University organises are often poorly attended.

But despite this the student scene is great, great nightlife, tons of great cafes!

How much does it cost to live in Bristol?

Rent is around £400 a month.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Bristol? Is there any advice you can give?

Not difficult, yearly contracts start usually in July. Private landlords can be a better option, although it is worth noting that this is less regulated so can be more dodgy. The university has a list of approved landlords.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Don't know about traditional Bristol food, it used to be a massive port (with a dark history of slavery), but because of that it has food influences from all over the world. Pie and cider is probably quite traditional!

Thekla is a club on a boat.
