What is student life like in Bristol?

It is very fun to be a student in Bristol. It is a very young city and there are lots of things to do, especially during the night. All of the students live very close to each other and it is very easy to get to where you want to go.

How much does it cost to live in Bristol?

In comparison with the rest of England, Bristol is quite expensive because it is near to London. Although, it is possible to enjoy it as a student. The most expensive things are transport and accommodation. To go out during the night it is normal to pay between £5 and £20 for a ticket, depending on the night.

Was it difficult to find accommodation in Bristol? Can you offer any advice?

There are a lot of companies and different ways to find accommodation and it is quite easy but competitive. Normally, if you use an agency there are agency fees that can be a lot if you are not careful. I advise you to make sure that at the end of the year everything in the house is completely clean because if not, the agency will charge a lot. Also, it is normal to sign a contract for the year so if you want to end the tenancy half way through the year it is almost impossible.

What is the food like in England? What were your favorite dishes?

In Bristol, the food varies a lot but you can find nearly every cuisine there. There isn't a special regional dish but there is a lot of artisanal food in all parts of the city.

Any advice that you would give to future students in Bristol?

Explore the city! There are a lot of things to do outside of the student center but it is easy to stay in the same area. Enjoy the city! There is lots to discover.
