When the milk gets bitter
The introduction
Hello everyone, I hope, that you are all doing just fine!
In this article I want to tell you about having some milk and hat you can do if it gets bitter. ell, usually the milk can not last for a very long time and if it lasts that long, then you should know, that it is not natural at all and it is prepared with some powders or things like that and I must say ,that nowadays most of those milk packages are not natural milks at all and they are all artificial and stuff like that and don't be convinced when anyone tells you, that they are natural. However, I can not say, that everything is artificial and I won't accuse any of the companies of anything, because that will be a very bad behaviour from my side, of course. However, many people just know, that the milk they drink is not that milk at all. That's why there are some dairy products sold in some small shops in Georgia all around the country, because the people, who have cows at home or something like that can get the natural milk and then they can sell to people, who want to drink natural milk or eat natural dairy products and those products are pretty popular, if you want to know the truth. And they don't cost much, either. For example, if you must pay somewhere about 3 laris in 1 litre milk at the supermarkets, you will buy 1 litre milk for 2 laris this way and you will know, that the milk is natural. However, some people don't like the smell and the taste of that natural whole milk or they don't want the whole milk and things like that and they prefer that company made milks to buy at the supermarkets, of course. Well, I like those milks, because they don’t have that milk smell and taste, that I know, I mean, back in my childhood, we had some cows and we used to have some milk at home, of course, and it was the whole milk right from the cow and it had that milk taste, of course and that's why mainly children didn't like to drink the milk and they preferred it in cacao drink or in some porridges or something like that and we used to eat rice puddings with that milk, which we really liked and we didn't drink that milk if it was not very necessary, like when we had caught a cold or something like that.
When the milk gets bitter
Well, the other day we had some milk brought at home. Actually it was the natural milk from someone's home and it was pretty good, that we had that milk and we were very glad about it, because we needed some to prepare some chocolate and I knew, that it would need to be boiled at first and then used in anything. So that I first put it in the refrigerator and I decided to have it boiled some time later, because I didn't have time for that in that very moment and being in the refrigerator wouldn't hurt it in any way.
Well, I knew, that if the milk gets bitter, people prepare some other things , I mean, the dairy products, of course and it wouldn't be too bad, if the miilk got bitter, because we would still use it, you know. and that's one of the great things about milk, so that if you can not use it as milk itself, you can use it in some other things and in preparing some other dairy products, or you can even use it in baking and it will still be okay for that.
So, this time, when I poured the milk into the saucepan and boiled it, it was pretty much plenty and it was 2 litres, I guess, so that it needed much time to be boiled and I waited for it to get boiled for a long time and , finally, when it boiled and it went up to the edges of the saucepan , I turned the gas off and waited for it to cool down. After some time, when I went to see whether the milk got colder or not, I noticed, that something was not right there and I understood, that it was not milk anymore and that it got bitter and I would have to think of something else how to use that bitter milk. Well, theoretically, I knew what people did in such cases, they would prepare some cottage cheese, however, i didn't really know how exactly they prepared it and what it needed to be done and if it needed any other ingredients or whatsoever. So that I had that bitter milk on a table in that saucepan and I decided to google the preparation of cotttage cheese from the bitter milk.
Soon I found out, that it didn't need anything else, it just needed to separated from the water or juice or whatever it had, so that I spilled the extra water out and had that solid mass like that for a while. It was pure white and it was pretty good-looking. And then I tasted it and it tasted very good and it was pretty delicious, too, and it was moist and not like those cottage cheese packages, which we buy at the supermarkets. This cottage cheese was all natural and homemade and then I realised, why homemade products can be much more delicious, than the supermarket bought ones.
So, now you know, ho you can prepare cottage cheese at home and, well, if you don't have a bitter milk, you can buy it and get it bitter, I mean, if you buy the natural milk and have it on a room temperature outside of the refrigerator for quite some time, it will get bitter, trust me, and then , when you pour it into the saucepan and boil it, it will have the solid mass and the water get separated and you will get a very nice cottage cheese yourself.
