Vegetable soup
The introduction
In this article I want to tell you about this vegetable soup recipe, which I prepared some days ago.
When talking about soups, you maybe yawn or something like that, because usually people think, that preparing soups can be very time-consuming and kind of difficult and, well, maybe a little boring, too. That is just really untrue, because once I prepared some soup for the first time, then I realized, that it’s nothing difficult and, well, maybe that even be easy and really good for your health. You know, it’s not that hard to prepare soups and whenever you decide to prepare them, it’s always a good idea, because it contains lots of water and everyone should have plenty of water throughout the day. It’s a necessary thing for every human being on our planet!
Well, to tell you the truth, they used to prepare soups in my childhood and they were kind of different, however, they were pretty delicious and I really liked eating them. Besides, I loved potatoes and those soups always had plenty of potatoes in them. Well, it’s not a surprise, ,that potatoes make dishes taste more delicious, than they would taste without them, so that many people add potatoes to their dishes. Everyone loves them, especially children and they love those fried potatoes and the French fries are something, that everyone on the Earth love, I guess, however, everyone knows, that eating them is not good for our health and that they are just full of that bad oil and everything. however, we still eat them, because we can’t really be without them, I guess.
So that, we usually have some potatoes in our soups, which make them taste more delicious and we usually love eating them and it’s not a bad thing though, because they are boiled and not fried in too much oil, of course, and that’s why it’s not that bad to eat potatoes in your soup. However, eating them plenty is not that good, if you want to know the truth.
So, preparing this soup is very easy and you don’t need to bother about many things there, you just have to buy all those products and those products are not much, if you want to know the truth. It’s just vegetables, and, well, you can add as many vegetables as you like, however, you should be careful, because many vegetables means, that you will get some large amount of the soup and then you won’t be able to eat it as a whole and then you will just have to spill it some time later, I guess, because it will get bitter, or you will just feel that you don’t want to eat it anymore or you will just get bored of eating it, and, besides , it’s not recommended to have something stored for a very long time, of course. And that’s why you just have to buy those ingredients in small amounts and, well, you should buy one broccoli and one bell pepper and one carrot and so on and so forth, I guess, so that the portion will be just enough and perfect size.
Ingredients:
- Broccoli, 100 grams
- Red bell pepper, 1 medium
- Green bell pepper, 2 small
- Carrot, 2 medium
- Water
- Salt
Preparation process
Well, I bought one small piece of broccoli and some carrots and bell peppers and that was just it, because I knew, that if I bought some other vegetables, too, the soup would become too much and it would just get bitter then and I would have to spill it out, because I wouldn’t be able to eat it all at the same time and I thought, that when the soup got finished, I would prepare it again, so that I would have a new and fresh one instead of that old one and that’s a better idea, than having some old soup in your fridge, of course. And that’s why I bought small amounts of vegetables, so that they wouldn’t go sour.
The first thing was to wash all those vegetables very well and have them ready for the preparation process. I cut the broccoli into smaller pieces and had some water in the saucepan , so that it would boil and then I could kind of put those broccoli pieces into it for a couple of seconds. When the water boiled, I put some salt in it and put those broccoli pieces into it for a couple of seconds and then I took them out and spilled the water out.
After that, it was time to assemble all the ingredients in a saucepan and let them get cooked. To be honest, they didn’t really need much time. The only cooking time they needed was for carrots, because I didn’t want the carrots to be kind of hard, because then they have some kind of sour taste with them. Though, it wouldn’t be any difficult to cook them all and I just took those carrots and had them sliced into my chopper and the slices were pretty great, I mean, I sliced them in round shapes and they were very lovely and beautiful.
I had some water boiled into my electric kettle,because that way the water can be boiled fast and then you don’t need to have it poured in the saucepan and then wait for it to be boiled for too much time and that’s pretty cool. So that I had that boiled water, which I poured into the saucepan and then I added the carrots to it and let it be boiled.
Well, after a couple of minutes, I just decided to add those broccoli pieces. I had them cut into small pieces, so that they wouldn’t be too large and they would be easy to eat in the soup. And then I had some bell pepper left. I had them sliced, too, and I kind of had them sliced in round shapes and then cut them into halves, so that it would be easier to eat them and they wouldn’t be too long or anything and I just added them to my soup and then I added a little bit of salt to have some taste in it. And the preparation process was pretty much it, I just had to wait a couple of minutes, until everything was kind of softer, than they used to be and it was up to me, and how I liked my soup ingredients to be like, I mean, I could just boil them a little bit and I could boil them even more, however, then they would get very soft and it wouldn’t be good, I guess, so that I turned the gas off jus in the middle and checked the stuff and it was all good and that’s when I decided , that the soup was done.
So, to tell you the truth , I didn’t really expect my vegetable soup to be that delicious, because I didn’t use too much stuff in it, I mean, I didn’t really have many ingredients or some delicious stuff in there or any tomato sauce or potatoes, which give the soups and dishes very unique taste and everything, however, I really liked its taste, because those bell peppers did their job and agave the dish a very good taste and the broccoli didn’t taste bad in my soup either, so that in all I could say, that the soup was just great and I could eat it plenty, because it didn’t really have any calories in it, it didn’t even have some oil in it, you know, and it was just vegetables and water and nothing more and it was a perfect dish for weight loss and hydration, at the same time and, besides, you could get some vitamins from the vegetables, of course, and that’s why it was a great healthy vegetable soup and good for anyone. However, people at my house didn’t eat it , so that there was “more for me” and it was all mine and I ate it all! Well, I don’t really know, why they didn’t eat it. I mean, I know, that my brother doesn’t like bell peppers and when I told him, that the dish had some bell peppers in it, he just changed his mind of eating the soup and my mother doesn’t like soups and she doesn’t eat any soups, I guess, unless it’s kharcho or something like that, I mean, she eats those stuff, when there’s not much stock in it and things like that and I knew, that she wouldn’t eat it, of course. However, my father likes eating soups, but he didn’t eat it either, I guess, that’s because that he found it not that interesting or delicious, I don’t know. anyways, I had my vegetable soup all for me and I ate it with pleasure. It’s a kind of soup, that you can prepare anytime without too much effort or ingredients and it can be your savor during no money days, because it’s a very cheap one to prepare and it will last longer than you expect and let you fight the hunger.
Well, that was what I wanted to tell you about my vegetable soup and how I prepared it. It was a pretty good one and I recommend it to anyone. This is a very healthy, vitamin-rich, guilt-free, delicious recipe of a vegetable soup.
