Tiramisu with cream filling
The introduction
Hello everyone, I hope, that you are all doing just fine!
In this article I want to tell you about my new recipe and it's something like Tiramisu, but with the cream filling with that boiled cream or whatever you call it.
You know, Tiramisuhas its own taste because of its ingredients and it's one of the most delicious things in desserts, if you ask me. However, many people don't like it, as I know. Well, I love Tiramisu, however I didn't really have mascarpone that day and I just wanted to have some Tiramisu. And then I thought, that I would prepare it with the cream filling instead of mascarpone or cream cheese or whatever. And, besides, I already had prepared the cream filling and I just needed to assemble the cake and that was all!
Ingredients:
- All purpose flour, 1 cup
- white granulated sugar, 1/2 cup
- vanilla
- water, 1 litre
- vodka with orange flavour
- cocoa powder
- unsalted butter, 50 grams
- espresso powder
- warm water, 1 cup
- Rum essence
- Ladyfingers, 400 grams
Preparation process
So, the preparation process consists of mainly preparing the cream filling. That is the process, which I don't really like that much, however, it's essential, of course. I don't know , where you can buy some prepared cream filling, or if you can buy that cream filling anywhere. Well, it's still better to prepare it on your own, because then you will prepare it as you wish the cream filling to be. It just takes some time to cook the porridge, I mean, the mixture with the water and sugar and flour, which is called porridge and it's cooked in half an hour or something, which makes it seem pretty tiring, however, it's not really like that and you can easily prepare that kind of cream filling.
So, first of all, you should boil the water. I usually boil it with an electric kettle, because it's a really fast way to boil the water, rather than pouring the water into a saucepan and wait for it to be boiled.
After that, I pour that boiling water into a saucepan and let it keep boiling. In the meantime, I mix 1 cup of all purpose flour and 1/2 cup of white granulated sugar together and then I add some of that boiling water to the dry mixture and mix them well. After that, I pour that mixture back into the saucepan and let everything be boiled, stirring occassionally not to get burned the mixture or the porridge or whatever you will call it.
After some stirring and boiling, I turn the gas off, when the mixture gets thicker and it looks like a porridge. This process takes approximately half an hour, I guess. Then you should wait for the porridge to get cooled down, so that it can be on a room temperature or a little colder.
Meanwhile, you should have an unsalted butter or margarine softened at the room temperature. It can be somewhere about 50 grams, it really depends on how you like your cream filling to taste. if you take less butter, it will be sweeter, than if you take more butter. Well, this all should be in normal proportions, however, normal is different for many people.
So, you should have that butter put into a mixer bowl and mix it until it gets all fluffy and white. Then, if the porridge is cooled down, you can add the porridge little by little to the butter while the mixer being on and mixing everything continuously.
after the things are mixed, you can add some vanilla and vodka with orange flavour to the mixture and the cream filling will become very delicious. you know, I alwyas add those things to my cream fillling, because I like the taste of it and when preparing the Tiramisu , I always have some Rum in it, becauseit makes the taste of Tiramisuas it should be, if you ask me. Well, to be honest some people don't like Tiramisu because of that and some don't like it beause it has strong espresso coffee taste in it, too. However, you can justhave it prepared without those things in it and eat it like that. or you can have some less of a Rum essence or coffee esseence in it and that will be all.
Anyways, after the cream filling is done, you just have to assemble the cake, in general.
You need some ladyfingers, and usually when I buy 400 grams of ladyfingers, there are some of them left. But it's better to be left some of them, than to have them less.
So, until putting the ladyfingers in the baking shape or whatever, you have to prepare the coffee. I usually have an espresso prepared, that should be really strong and then I have two tablespoons of Rum essence added to the coffee.
After the coffee is cooled down, you can then take the lafyginfers one by one and have each of them put into the coffee mixture just for a second or so and then put it into the baking shape. after you have filled the whole bottom, then you pour the cream filling onto the ladyfingers. Then you sprinkle some cocoa powderto it and you can also have some coffee powder poured ontothe cream filling. Then you add the ladyfingers again and then the cream filling and cocoa and coffee powders and so on and so forth until the ingredients are finished. you can sprinkle the cocoa powder on top of the cake, too, or you can add whatever you like. Some people even add some raspberries on the top.
