The Tube

In this article I want to tell you about these cream filling stuffed tubes, which people usually call “Trubochka”, however, this word is from Russian and it means “a small tube” or something like that and, well, it’s kind of funny if you say that in Georgian, I mean, if you translate it in Georgian and say it, so that no one really calls them in Georgian and personally I have seen in just one place, that there was this sign in front of that dessert, saying “Milaki” in Georgian, which is the exact translation of that Russian word in Georgian and it seams just ridiculous for me to call it like that. It’s better if I call it Trubochka, you know. Well, I have loved trubochka since my childhood and when I remember it, I still know what those trubochkas tasted like and, trust me, they were really delicious and they were just amazing for me. However, you wouldn’t find it easy to buy those trubochkas back in those days and we had to go to some special places, where they had those trubochkas that you could buy and eat and they didn’t cost cheap, either, if you want to know the truth. So, it was a big day, when we had some trubochkas bought and eat, if you want to know the truth. You know, I love cream filling and trubochkas had this cream filling, of course, and they didn’t really have that cream filling at the end of them, as they are narrowed in one end and when you put that cream filling inside them, they just don’t reach the end very well, so that this part was without cream filling and when I was eating them, I would start eating from the large part, where there was plenty of cream filling and then, when I reached the second end with no cream filling and stuff like that, I would just stop eating and throw that part away, because I didn’t really like trubochkas for their dough, you know. And my sister would eat trubochkas vice versa, I mean, I used to start eating them from the large end, where there was the most of the cream filling, while she would start eating them from the narrow end without any cream filling and then she would have the whole cream filling part awaiting to be eaten and she likes to eat it like that now, too. So, it’s about the individual and how they like to eat their trubochkas and some may like the creamy partand some don’t, you know. And, for example, my brother likes eating that biscuit part of the creamy cake and while my little cousin loves just eating the cream filling part and leaving the biscuit like that, so that they could make a perfect match for each other in eating the whole cake, I guess.
