The introduction

Hello everyone, I hope, that you are all doing just fine!

In this article I will tell you about my soup recipe, which is just a simple soup and nothing fancy, however, it’s pretty delicious and I remember how my grandmother used to prepare this thing and I just loved it. I don’t know what she used to do to the soup, however, it was so delicious, that you would think, that there was something else in it, that made it very tasty. To be honest, I prepare the soups just like that, however, I can not really make them just as tasty as hers were.

Well, to tell you the truth, this simple soup recipe is very simple, and at the same time, it’s really healthy and good for us, because, first of all, it has lots of water and you need plenty of water throughout the day to keep your body hydrated. And secondly, this soup contains potatoes and carrots, which are good mineral and vitamin storage foods. And thirdly, you can eat this thing hot, so that if you have caught cold or want to have something hot or warm to eat, you can have this simple soup for yourself.

So, let’s have a look at the ingredients.

Ingredients:

  • Water, 3 litres
  • Potatoes, 4 medium
  • Macaroni, 50 grams
  • Salt to taste
  • Carrot, 1 medium

Preparation process

Well, the preparation process is just very simple and you just have to toss everything into the saucepan, if you want to know the truth.

  1. So that, first of all I ihave the potatoes peeled and cut into small cubes, but not very small, either.
  2. Then, you put the potato cubes into the saucepan, which is a pretty large one, so that you can have the whole 3 litres of water fit into that.
  3. After that, I usually have the water boiled into an electric kettle, because that way it’s just easier and faster to have the water boiled, rather than pouring some cold water into the saucepan and put the lid on and wait for the water to get boiled. This takes too much time and I prefer using an  electric kettle for boiling the water, hence.
  4. After the water is boiled, you can pour it into the saucepan, where you have those potato cubes inside and let the water be boiled again in that saucepan.
  5. Well, in the meantime, you can open a pack of macaroni and, since it’s usually a 500 grams package, you should just take some pieces of macaroni, so that it can be about 50 grams or so and add it to the saucepan in that boiling water. You know, you can add even more macaronis, however, it will get cooked and it will get thicker and large in size and then you will just have macaronis in your soup, I guess. however, some people love having plenty of macaroni in their soups, so that it all depends on you, really.
  6. So, then you just wait for a little bit for the macaroni to start getting cooked and things like that.
  7. After that, you can peel the carrot and slice it into average slices and if it’s kind of large, you can cut those slices into two halves, but some people just like them in round shapes.
  8. After some time, you can add those carrot slices to the saucepan and then that’s it. You can wait until everything is cooked and ready. Some people like the carrots to be pretty soft and cooked, and some people like them to be kind of crispy. Well, if you add the carrot slices in the beginning of the cooking, then the carrot slices will be soft because of all that cooking, however, if you add them in the halfway or just until finishing the cooking, then the carrot slices will be as they are fresh, so that keep that in mind!
  9. At the end of the cooking you can add the salt to the dish. However, I like adding it just in the beginning , so that the ingredients will have the salt in them, too, and the dish will be more delicious even until it’s finished cooking.
  10. So that, that’s it, you just have the dish ready, I mean, it takes some time until the dish gets all cooked and stuff. I usually have it on low gas, so that it doesn’t stop boiling, however, it still is on a low heat. I can have it like that for some time, until the potatoes are cooked and the macaroni is cooked, too. So that, basically, it’s up to you when you decide to turn the gas off and decide, that your dish is ready. If you have it like that for a long time, it will get even thicker, however, it gets thicker the following day and it’s better that way , if you ask me.

Well , this was my simple soup recipe, and I hope, that you will find this dish pretty healthy and necessary for the body. It is very cheap thing to prepare and it lasts pretty long, so that you can have it for some time and not bother about preparing some dishes in the meantime. It’s like, you don’t even need to have any other food in the refrigerator or wherever, because when you eat soups and things like that, you don’t feel hungry anymore and you feel pretty full, so that you don’t want to have anything else then.
