Simple recipe for cooking fresh prawns!

Do you love seafood? Well I am going to give you a really quick and simple recipe for cooking fresh prawns. Trust me, you are going to love it!

What you will need!

1. Fresh prawns. In Porto you can buy fresh prawns from the supermarket that are cooled but not frozen!

2. Garlic, and lots of it! If you are cooking 200-300 grams of prawns (enough for 1 person), you should get at least 5 slices of garlic, or just a full head!

3. Butter.

4. Bread. You can choose whatever you prefer, but I like the Italian ciabatta the most!

How to do it:

1. Peel and cut the garlic into tiny pieces. A quick way to peel the garlic would be crushing it with a knife! Just put the garlic onto the cutting board and press the garlic with the side of your knife. This way, you can remove the peels easily!

2. Make sure that your prawns are not frozen or cooled. You can add them into a bowl of room temperature water for a while. You can leave them in the water while you are cutting the garlic.

3. After you finish cutting the garlic, remove the prawns from the water and and put them onto paper towels. This way the towels will soak up the excess water.

4. Put butter into a hot frying pan, and start cooking the garlic. You should add at least 50 grams of butter. Or in a more simple way, just use a spoon ant take a large chunk of the butter ;)

5. As soon as the garlic turns a little bit brown from the cooking, you should add the prawns. It takes just a couple of minutes to cook the garlic so keep an eye on it and always mix it!

6. Always keep mixing the prawns! Do not leave them cooking like it is a steak! Cook them for 5-6 minutes. Try not to overcook the prawns, because if you do, they may turn a little bit rubber-ish.

7. Remove prawns with the garlic from the frying pan and into a plate.

Enjoy!

When I am eating this dish, I use the ciabatta bread to gather the garlic and the melted butter!

Some people also add parsley, but I hate parsley! You can do it with your preference.

I hope you like my recipe! It's fairly simple, If you have any questions just ask ;)
