Round cake

The introduction

Hello everyone, I hope, that you are all doing just fine!

In this article I want to tell you about this cake, which I just prepared. I usually bake some cakes, however, this time it was pretty different and I wasn’t going to bake the same pound cake again, though I wanted to bake something new and delicious, without too much effort, so that I decided to bake kind of a similar cake, however, the ingredients would be a little bit different and it would be pretty much with some cream or filling or something like that.

Well, I hadn’t thought about it too much and I would just prepare the cake and I would think of the ingredients in the meantime while preparing the cake. It would be pretty experimental, however, I really like having some experiments while baking and cooking and that’s why I decided to have some different cake prepared that way.

So that, let me tell you about my round cake, which I prepared myself.

Ingredients:

  • Eggs, 2 medium
  • Matsoni, or kefir, ½ cup
  • Baking soda, 1 teaspoon
  • White granulated sugar, 1 and a half cup
  • Oatmeal flour, 1 cup
  • Oil, 3 tablespoons
  • Vanilla
  • Coffee  granules
  • Lemon juice, 1 teaspoon
  • Vodka, 1 teaspoon
  • All purpose flour, 1 and a half cup
  • Condensed milk, 6 tablespoons
  • Cocoa powder, 1 tablespoon
  • Peanut butter, 1 tablespoon
  • Nuts, 10 pieces

Preparation process

So, the preparation process usually starts with breaking the eggs and having them into the chopper-blender bowl. You know, it’s very easy to have all those ingredients into the chopper-blender bowl and then you will just start it and mix everything together with just one click.

After beating the eggs, you should add the sugar to them and mix them well together, until it’s all fluffy and light.

Then, you should take the matsoni or kefir or even some milk or sour cream and add one teaspoon of baking soda into it. You can also add some drops of vinegar to the baking soda, so that it will dissolve pretty easily that way.

You should also mix those ingredients with each other into the bowl.

Then, you can add the oil and some peanut butter and the vanilla and coffeepowder and lemon juice and vodka and have them mixed together very well into the chopper-blender for a minute or so.

After that, you can add some oatmeal flour, which shouldn’t be the whole flakes, I mean, it should be like flour and you can add the all purpose wheat flour to the mixture, too, and mix them well together into that bowl with the chopper-blender. The dough should be kind of thick, but not very thick, if you want to know the truth. It should not be solid, of course.

Then, you can have those nuts added to the mixture and mix it with other things into the chopper –blender for some seconds.

When the dough is ready to be put into the baking pan, you can take the round cake pan, which can be 20 cm in diameter and not more, because then the ingredients won’t be enough for a large pan, if you want to know the truth.

You should grease the pan with oil and pour the dough into it.

In the meantime, you can have the oven preheat for 180 degrees Celsius. I use my convection oven for that, which is very good thing to bake simple cakes like that and I’m very satisfied with that and I recommend buying it to everyone, too.

Well, until you put the cake into the oven, there’s one thing left to be done. You should take the condensed milk and kind of sprinkle it on top of your cake. After that, I took some of the condensed milk and added some cocoa powder to it and sprinkled it on top of the cake, too, so that I would have both white and chocolate condensed milk into my cake.

Then, it was time to put the cake into the oven. I had the convection oven set for about 50 minutes on 200 degrees Celsius and that baking pan was on a low rack, so that the top wouldn’t get burned until the cake got baked.

To be honest, I should have added more white condensed milk, than the chocolate one, because it was not seen, where the white one was, and I only saw the chocolate one, which was pretty good, too.

Well, after those 50 minutes of baking, the convection oven was turned off and I just rushed and took the cake out,because I wanted to see how it was like. I also checked it and it was pretty much baked, so that I could just open the baking pan and take that round thing out and leave the cake like that. It was pretty beautiful to look at, because it was like there were holes or things like that on the top of the cake, which made it look even more delicious.

So that, this was my cake and you can prepare that one, if you want to. You can also add some chocolate glaze on top of the cake, too, of have it eaten with some cooked cream filling. It would also be a good idea if I added a banana into the dough and mixed it with everything else and that way it would have a very delicious dough, if you ask me. However, this time it was still very delicious and different and I will also try and prepare such cake in a different way, I must say.
