Pumpkin cream-soup

Hello everyone, I hope, that you are all doing just fine!
In this article I want to tell you about this dish, which has become pretty popular and it’s really good thing and worth tasting.
This dish is called pumpkin cream-soup and it’s a really delicious one. We used to have pumpkins at home all the time, however, we only used to cook them in the oven or in the boiling water and we didn’t know anything about the pumpkin cream-soup until just recently, when my friend suggested going somewhere in a café, where they had a delicious pumpkin cream-soup.
So that, let me tell you about this pumpkin cream-soup and how to prepare it.
Ingredients:
- Pumpkin , 1 kilogramme
- Sour cream, 200 grams
- Milk, 1 cup
- Salt , 1 teaspoon
- Ground red pepper, a pinch
- Muscat, a pinch
- Chicken stock, 1.5 cup
- Butter, 2 tablespoons
- Bread, 4 loaves
- Shredded cheese, 2 tablespoons
Preparation process
So, first of all, you should prepare the pumpkin, of course. It’s not that difficult, especially if you buy those orange coloured pumpkins , which are kind of long shaped, because they are pretty easy to prepare comparing to those white-greyish ones, which have kind of hard skin and it’s harder to cut them.
Well, it’s not expensive to buy 1 kilogramme pumpkin in Georgia and you will see it everywhere in autumn, however, then the pumpkins are a little bit harder to find.
So, when you have the pumpkin, you should wash it thoroughly and then cut it into halves and take the seeds out. Then you can peel it and cut it into small cubes.
After that, you can mix the sour cream and milk and add some chicken stock and if you don’t have the chicken stock or if you don’t want to have it in your dish, you can just add some water to the mixture and it will be okay. I usually do that, because I don’t like the taste of the chicken stock in the dish, if you want to know the truth.
You should then add some salt and red pepper and muscatand mix them together and then you should add the chopped pumpkin to the mixture.
You should have this everything put into a heatproof bowl or something like that and put the lid on.
You should have the oven preheated on 180 degrees Celsius and put the bowl into it for about 60 minutes.
If you don’t have the heatproof bowl or the oven or something like that, you can just put the mixture into a saucepan and have it on a medium heat on the gas until the pumpkin cubes are soft and cooked.
When the dish is cooked, you can take it out and whisk it or have it into a blender and blend it or, I usually have it into my chopper-blender and I blend it there, which is pretty awesome.
After that, you can cut the bread into small cubes and have some butter into the frying pan and have those bread cubes put into it and fried a little bit.
Then you can have the cheese shredded and sprinkled on top of those bread cubes and have them served with the pumpkin cream-soup on the table. It’s really delicious that way, however, it’s still okay without the bread and the shredded cheese, if you want to know the truth.
Well, this was about the pumpkin cream-soup, which is really healthy and inexpensive dish and, besides, it doesn’t really need much time for it to be prepared.
