New Year's resolutions
So the New Year is approaching, and you know what that means... New Year resolutions! Yaaay. Everybody, well, a lot of people do it, and I've decided to make my own. I've done it a couple of times so far, and I never keep them all, of course, but this time I've decided to make different ones.
So here they are:
1. Start smoking. I don't like the smell and the possibility of getting lung cancer, but I love the way people (read: girls/read: me) look with a cigarette in their hand. As well, both of my new roommates smoke, so why spoiling the fun? It also helps a lot when you don't know what to do with your hands, helps to create friendships (you have a cigarette?you have light?) and decreases the boredom when, let's say, you're waiting someone/something/a bus/when on pauses while travelling by bus. Smoking comes in handy.
2. Win the lottery. I do realize this includes me starting to play the lottery, but hey, what you gotta do, you gotta do. If that's the sacrifice I need to take, so be it. I figured, it would be much easier and more convenient to just win the money than finding a job. Plus, it will save me a lot of time and effort.
3. Go out more. Yes, I've spent a year on Erasmus where I went out most of the nights of the week, but now I'm back at home where most of my friends act like they're already married, have kids and artritis so they don't go out much. I'm still a party girl and I feel I've backed down a bit. Need to work on that.
4. Chew more chewing gums. Mouth hygiene is important, me thinks. I've tried to make myself brush my teeth before going to bed every night, but let's face it: it's not gonna happen. When I'm home, okay, I do it, but when I go out and come back in the morning, hell I don't even clean my makeup, I go straight to bed. I get very tired when I go out. So, chewing gums will keep my breath fresh. Plus, it's great for making bubbles, which is childish but fun. Oh, another reason is the fact that you don't bring your toothbrush all the time with you and sometimes it does happen that you spend the night at somebody else's and not your place. There.
5. Spend more time on Facebook. Social network, the name says it all. I have to spend time with the people I like and so many of them are far away. As well, you know, when you're hanging out with someone in live, you can't just log off, not answer, make funny faces and say some nasty things out loud or laugh at people's face. Facebook makes it all happen. Not to mention all the facebook games I need to start playing. What reality, please, reality is for fools. Facebook rules.
6. Move less. Before in my New Year resolutions I wanted to exercise more, go jogging etc. This ends now. I feel great when sitting on the couch, eating, watching TV/movies/series, spending time on Facebook, Skype, reading books. What's the point in spending energy? I have everything I need on the couch. If someone is cooking for me or passing me the stuff I need so I don't have to get up, oh that's life baby!
7. Cut my hair. Short. Very short. Reason? So I wouldn't have to sweep so often. I like long hair, but hey, since I don't have a cleaning lady, I'd rather have short hair. Do you know how much mess hair makes? And it's not only sweeping, it's combing and washing it as well. Too much trouble and for what? Thank God, I look good with short hair.
8. Drink more and eat less. No, it's not so much for losing the weight but for my health. So much food I eat is not healthy and contains so many harmful substances. Hence, if I already take in those substances by drinking, I shall reduce them as much as possible by eating less food. I considered eating healthy food but all the healthy food (almost all) tastes yuck. And not drinking... No, that's out of the question; liquid is very important.
9. Stay solo. Men are not for me anymore, they bothered me too much, I bothered them too much; I'm making us all a favor by shutting them out of my life. Friends are welcome, at least till the next year. Women are even worse than men and I do not see myself involved with them. I was never a typical woman (if by typical you can say their love for fashion, pink color, makeup, jewelery, girly manners, gossipping, dramatizing and the similar stuff); although I do share a lot of features with them (maybe I am a drama queen sometimes, okay, okay), I'm still... Different, let's say. And I'm smart enough to know I wouldn't get along with neither one of the girly species nor with the species such as myself. So what do I have left? My solitude. And I greet it because I happen to enjoy my own company. And the long talks.
10. Waste my time in every possible way. I am very good at it, I wasted so much time in the past years. I've always wanted to change it, now I'm looking at it from a different perspective: why to throw out something you're great at? No no, my dear blog readers (are there any or am I talking to myself again?), the solution is to improve it, take it to a different level.
