Eggs salad
The introduction
Hello everyone, I hope, that you are all doing just fine!
In this article I want to tell you about this simple and delicious recipe, which is a very diet one and you can consume it anytime you want, however, I guess, it’s better eaten at breakfast, because they say, that you should eat eggs in the morning, so that then you won’t get hungry for a couple of hours.
So that, as you might have already guessed, the dish is with eggs and its main ingredients are the eggs, I must say. The dish is very light to eat and, at the same time, it’s pretty nourishing, if you want to know the truth.
Anyways, let me tell you about the preparation of this dish, which they call it just the eggs salad.
Ingredients:
- Eggs, 8 medium
- Salad leaves, 50 grams
- Green onions, 40 grams
- Salt to taste
- Ground black pepper to taste
- Mayonnaise to taste
Preparation process
Well, the preparation process is just very easy and simple. It starts with the preparation of the eggs. They should be hard boiled, so that then you should be able to cut them into small pieces.
So that, you should take the 8 eggs and put them into a small saucepan and pour some water onto them, so that the water can cover them. Then, you should put the saucepan on the gas on a high heat, so that the water can be boiled. When the water boils, you can just turn the heat down to medium and let it boil for 10 minutes, so that the eggs will get hard boiled and will be just perfect for the salad. You can also leave it for more than ten minutes, it won’t become bad, however, you shouldn’t take them out in less than ten minutes, because in that case, they might not be hard boiled and they won’t be good for the salad, I mean, you won’t be able to have them cut as small cubes.
Anyways, when the eggs are boiled, you can take them out and have them put into a bowl or something like that and pour some cold water on them, so that they will get cold and it will be easier to peel them.
In the meantime, you can take the salad leaves and separate them and wash them pretty thoroughly, because they need plenty of washing, so that there won’t be anything on the side of the leaves or somewhere else. Then, you can shop them into small pieces, but not too small!
After that, you can take the green onions and wash them and chop them, too, however, if you don’t like onions, you can just skip this step and I usually do that, because I don’t like to have that onions smell in my mouth when I eat the raw onions and that’s why I don’t usually have those green onions in my dish, however, it’s really good to have them in this salad. Well, if you are not going to go outside after you have eaten this eggs salad, then you can have the green onions added to it.
So that, when the eggs are cold, you can peel them and then cut them into small cubes.
After that, you can just put the eggs cubes into a bowl and have the chopped salad leaves and green onions added to them.
You should then also add some salt and ground black pepper to the dish and add some mayonnaise, but not too much. Or you can just change the mayonnaise into some sour cream, if you don’t want to use the mayonnaise in your salad, or if you are on a weight loss diet.
So, this is this simple eggs salad, which is a great thing to prepare and it’s very good to have it on breakfasts, and, besides, I must say, that it’s pretty fancy dish and if you serve it to your guests, they won’t even think, that it’s just the eggs salad and nothing more.
