Beef and rice stock
The introduction
Hello readers, I hope, that you are all doing fine!
So, in this article I want to tell you about the other recipe, which consists of beef and rice and it's a really delicious one, because it has some tomato paste, too, and it's that main dish, that you should eat on your dinner in the afternoon, you know. It's just that dish, which people go to the restaurants to eat with pleasure and this one you can prepare it at home with not much effort and ingredients. And, besides, it can be more than enough for just one person and you can invite people over to amaze them with that dish of yours.
Anyways, we had some beef bought the other day and I decided to have the beef cooked_ boiled in water and prepare it with some tomato paste, because the tomato paste gives the dish some great taste and I really like that and, i guess, many people like that.
Ingredients:
- Beef, 500 grams
- Butter, unsalted, 50 grams
- Onions, 2 medium
- Tomato sauce, 4 tablespoons
- Rice, 1 cup
- Red Tkemali
- Tomato paste, 1 tablespoon
- Salt
Preparation process
- So, I cut the meat into small pieces and had them washed. Then I just decided to toss them into the large saucepan and have them cooked a little without anything else in the saucepan and while it was being fried, I used to stir from time to time, so that the meat pieces would get all cooked well. After a couple of minutes I added a little bit of butter, because I had read somewhere ,that the butter is good with meat and when the meat is cooked in some butter it gets this amazing taste.
- I also had some onions chopped in my chopper and I added them to the beef in the saucepan and I added some salt, too, because I like the beef to have some of it until it's cooked, however, they say, that you should add the salt at the end of the cooking process. well, it's not that simple to cook everything together when you have bony pieces of meat and it was kind of difficult for me to stir the saucepan with all those bony pieces of meat, however, nothing is really impossible, of course, and it's not that hard to cook those stuff well. However, you should only cook them for a couple of minutes, because then after some time, the onions will just get burned, you know . so, after a couple of minutes, I didn't let it cook anymore and i just added some water and let it boil. Well, in fact, I had some water boiled until that and then I just added it to the saucepan and it was all ready to be boiled, of course. After that, I just decided to have the beef be like that and get boiled and cooked.
- So, it was some time after that when I decided to have some tomato sauce in my dish and I just added some to it and kind of dissolved it, because the consistency was pretty thick and it was not that simple for it to get dissolved itself in the stock. And then the dish got this reddish look and it was really beautiful and it was more beautiful than it was before and you would want to eat it right away.
- And then I realised, that i could prepare the beef with some rice and I could just add that rice into the saucepan and then it would cook together with meat and everything would be just fine, however, I had to decide how much rice I would add to the dish, because if you add too much rice, then it will get thicker and it will be more than enough for that beef stock and it will get thicker and it won't have any stock left there.
- So I added almost one cup of rice, though I thought that it still would be more than enough for the dish, however I had already added the rice to the dish and so that I just had to wait for it to get cooked and then i would see whether I was right or not about the amount of the rice.
- Well, after some time of boiling, the rice got cooked and it was pretty much fine with the dish, though it was still kind of too much, I guess. However, one could eat the dish without any bread or something like that and feel satiated, if you ask me, because it was that thick and nourishing with all that rice in it.
- So, I added some red tkemali and tomato paste to the dish, so that it would get a better taste and the colour and I had this kharcho spice, which has a great taste and I also added it to the dish, which made it taste very delicious. It was just after that, when I put the lid on the saucepan and let it cook. After some time the rice got cooked and it got larger and larger and the dish got very thick and, well, i didn't really want the dish to be that thick, however, I couldn't do anything else and I was just like that, waiting for the dish to get ready.
Well, when the dish was finally ready, I tasted it and it tasted really good, so that I could serve it to the people around, and, well, people really liked it and so did I and that's why it was worth preparing.
