Sometimes you just need a really good falafel wrap. Ok, make that always! Whether you are an Atlanta native or an international student studying in the city, there are probably many days where you could do with some really good mediterranean cuisine.
Now, you have the perfect place to go!
Merhaba Shawarma is situated in a hole-in-the-wall cafe in Clarkston, GA, right in the heart of the most diverse square mile in the country. It may not look like much, but the food is good!
When I visited Merhaba Shawarma with my family, we squeezed into one of the few tables inside the cafe and ordered falafels, salad, hummus, and doner. All of the food came out very fast, especially for a cafe run by 1-2 people. I've lived in Turkey for 3 years, so I know my meditteranean cuisine - and this was very authentic and delicious!
The lady running Merhaba Shawarma was so sweet, and we loved chatting with the other people frequenting the cafe. It was a great experience, and I am definitely going back.
Enjoy!
