What is it like to live in Ankara? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
If you are visiting it for a short time, it would be boring. However living for a long time would be more entertaining. I would recommend it but when you compare it with İstanbul and İzmir, I would recommend them more.
What is the student lifestyle like in Ankara?
I like student life in here because there are a lot of big universities in the city so there are a lot of students and places which designed for students like library-concept-cafes. Student lifestyle is usually studying at cafes and libraries in the weekdays and partying at clubs or pubs and sometimes homes at the weekends.
How much does it cost to live in Ankara?
I find it expensive. You can find a house for 500-1000TL depending on the location. a coffee at cafes like 15-20TL and food is 20-40TL for average. Transportation is 1.75TL for one ride. I think it would be +2000TL
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Ankara? Is there any advice you can give?
It is actually easy but some landlords dont want to rent their homes to students.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
You can find lots of foods from sushi to taco to burgers. I like street foods like döner, çiğköfte, kokoreç, midye, pide, mantı etc.
What places would you recommend visiting in Ankara?
Tunalı, Çayyolu, Çukurambar, Eryaman, Bilkent, Beysukent, Oran, İncek, Eskişehir Yolu.
Is it good to eat out in Ankara? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Yes. for kokoreç, döner and midye go köroğlu and AOÇ; for pide YE-AN, for kebabs go aspava, for sushi go Quick China, for çiğköfte go Komegene, for burgers go Piel Roja.
Is the nightlife good in Ankara? Where is good to go?
It is only at the weekend, Tunalı, Kızılay, Bilkent.
