What is it like to live in Ankara? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Living in Ankara its super easy, both if you work or study. But you should not expect an incredibly beautiful city because it is not, i will say its kinda ugly.

What is the student lifestyle like in Ankara?

For students Ankara it is a very good city. It is cheap, easy access to everywhere and the most important there is party! Not so much but there is!

How much does it cost to live in Ankara?

Ankara (turkey) uses Turkish Liras which has aprox this change rates:
1 euro = 3 liras
1dollar = 2 liras
So if you bring euros or liras you will find everything it is cheap.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Ankara? Is there any advice you can give?

There are so many websites to find place in Ankara which makes it super easy. Be careful with prices because for sure they will like to cheap you!

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Food ingridents are similar to Spanish ones (mediterranean diet)

What places would you recommend visiting in Ankara?

Ataturk mausoleum.

Is it good to eat out in Ankara? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes, and cheap. Masabasi its my favourite place if you like meat, it is kind of expensive (30 Tl/person)

Is the nightlife good in Ankara? Where is good to go?

It is not the best one ever. You can go to Tunali or Tunus streets where there are lots of pubs and bars. Also there is some more places in Kizilay.

What advice would you give future students heading to Ankara?

Ankara it is a very good place to have an erasmus!
