Why did you choose to go to Ankara, Turkey?

Ankara is capital city of Turkey and it offers you lots of opportunities because it is capital city

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

It depends how much money do you need and if you like to go parties frequently and fond of night life it may be more than 750 but except for accommodation 500 tl is enough for me

What is the student lifestyle like in Ankara?

In Ankara you can go cafes restaurants with your friends there are lots of parks and shopping malls that you can go with friends but if you are looking for somewhere with full of peace maybe it could be a good option to go Mogan lake or Mavigol or eymir lake to rest and spend time with your friends

Would you recommend the city and the University of Ankara to other students?

Of course I recommend since Population of students in Ankara is high which makes the city full of fun and enjoyment

What is the food like?

In my opinion, food is good and tasty you can find different kind of Turkish meals in Ankara ...

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Ankara?

Not that much

How much does it cost to live in Ankara?

As I said it depends but if you are not spending too much 500 or 600 will be OK for you of course without accommodation

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

As far as I know at Gazi and Ankara university there is a department which is called TÖMER they teach Turkish to foreign students and other languages are also available but you should check it :)

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Ankara from your city?

By train its cheapest but it takes almost 17 hours which can be tiring so I prefer to travel by airplanes because it is easiest and if you follow you can find cheap tickets sometime

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Ankara?

I prefer Bahcelievler 3rd and 7th district but Kizilay Cukurambar and others are also good ones for students

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Ankara?

As a student , I generally eat fast food but Aspava is a famous restaurant in Ankara which you can find almost every district of Ankara ...

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

In Ankara at first you should visit Anitkabir and there are some museums that you can visit .. and in AKM there are always fairs consist of cultural events...

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Ankara in the future?

For students Ankara is a really good city and I suggest you to enjoy as much as you can in this beautiful city. WISH you all good luck
