Why did you choose to go to Ankara, Turkey?

Ankara is the capital of Turkey. Another reason I chose Ankara was because of the universities ranking. For diversity of life, Ankara may be considered boring, but the prices of renting houses are more reasonable and the city is less crowded than Istanbul.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I'm taking YTB's scholarship for master degree.

What is the student lifestyle like in Ankara?

It's boring here that you can totally focus on your study. Most of students here as I know they go to school and then go back to dorm or home. And spending time in a bar or a cafe in the free time.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Ankara to other students?

I recommend the universities like METU, Bilkent, Hacettpe, Gazi y Ankara University.

What is the food like?

I don't know. It's just... food.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Ankara?

I found my flat through a estate agent which called Emlakçı in Turkey, so I need to pay the commision. It's better if you can find a house directly from owners, cause no commision needed.

How much does it cost to live in Ankara?

Basically, 1000 lira including renting house.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Ankara?

There are a lot of bars and cafes i would recommend in Tunali, Bahçelievler and Beşevler.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Anadolu müzesi, Ankara castle, Kocatepe Cami, and anıtkabir; a memorial tomb of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
