What is it like to live in Lisbon? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

It is amazing. I would definitely recommend it. In Lisbon you have beaches near by, a lovely river, good and cheap restaurants, museums and good places to have fun, such as bars and clubs.

What is the student lifestyle like in Lisbon?

In Lisbon there's lots of university parties, with lots of Erasmus students. Besides, if you go out you can find tourists and locals in the same bars having fun.

How much does it cost to live in Lisbon?

Prices:

  • A room in a good area (central) costs between 200 - 400 euro.
  • A monthly transport pass costs 35 euro with student discount (you can use every single public transport - tram, metro and bus).
  • A complete meal in a good typical restaurant costs usually 10 euro.
  • Clothes are cheap as well, for 10 euro you can buy jeans.
  • About food with 150 euro you can buy food for the whole month.
  • Hanging out is cheap as well - with 20 euro, you have a lovely night.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Lisbon? Is there any advice you can give?

No. There're lots of student apartments.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

There are different dishes. We eat a lot of meat, soup and codfish. The food has lots of flavour. Desserts - you're gonna love it.

What places would you recommend visiting in Lisbon?

  • Sintra - village close by with castles and palaces.
  • Pensão Amor - Bar.
  • Castelo de São Jorge.
  • Park bar.
  • Miradouro (viewpoint) de Santa Catarina and Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcantara.
  • Feira da Ladra (Flea market).

  • Stasha.
  • Tasca do Chico (you can listen Fado and eat typical food).
  • Ramiro (seafood).

Is the nightlife good in Lisbon? Where is good to go?

You can go to Bairro Alto (night life neighborhood), Lux (club) and Cais do Sodré.
