My Erasmus Experience in Poland
When i first came to Wroclaw it was freezing. Winter in Poland is harsh and cold, and we needed a week or two to adapt to a new climate. During this period, we managed to find a flat, learn how to get around in the city and around our new University, of course. Not knowing the Polish language was not a problem, since almost everyone speaks English very well. When the adaptation period was over we finally got some time to discover the city itself. My First weeks there was too visit bars, hangouts, trips, and meetups which helped us to quickly socialize and meet new friends. The girls are beautiful and really friendly. Most of the parties we did it in our student's residence or flat until sunrise. The food is really good and the history of the city after the second war made me feel amazed. I spend 6 months there party most of the time, the classes were in polish so we could skip some of it. If possible i would do this experience. Wroclaw is a strategic city in the middle of the Europe, very well linked with all European spots. During my Erasmus period I lived in dormitory and I was able to meet a lot of students coming from different countries and I was able to travel around all Europe. Moreover, the city is quite small, has a very performing transport system and every week there are cultural events. n Erasmus, my character was put to the test so many times that I have recently realized that if I am the strong and reliable person I am today, it is thanks to the Erasmus experience. Living alone in Wales and having to adapt to new customs and attitudes was a wild experience, in a very positive sense. After that, I felt like I could achieve anything. I grew up and I became a much stronger, wiser and more open-minded person. After that, no challenge I face is a really scary one because now I know that I can do it, no matter how much difficult it is, I know that I am able to make all the necessary efforts to make a success of it. I developed a sense of empowerment and self-esteem which is difficult to get at such a young age from any other experience.
With the Erasmus program, i was pushed out of my comfort zone and helped me develop in every way possible.
