What is it like to live in Warsaw? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
It's a busy city center but quite easy to adapt to. Would recommend it if one is not made uncomfortable by cold weather and a busy lifestyle. It's a big city rich in history and with a lot of entertainment.
What is the student lifestyle like in Warsaw?
A student below 25 yrs gets discounts in transport and in many other costs. So it is affordable. They also have a study, work and live motive so its is easy to multitask.
How much does it cost to live in Warsaw?
An average living expense for a student of 150$ . It is affordable to an extent.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Warsaw? Is there any advice you can give?
Accommodation is not difficult to find in Warsaw. What may be difficult is to find accommodation with a very low budget. I would advice that a student first seek accommodation within the schools guidance as it is often much cheaper.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
The food maybe different from what we had in Africa. So I'm still trying to adjust but one should try the Polish kebab!
What places would you recommend visiting in Warsaw?
Westfield Arkadia mall. The zoo, the cinemas, the Vistula river and old Warsaw.
Is it good to eat out in Warsaw? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
It is good to eat out in Warsaw. But takeaways can be costly.
Is the nightlife good in Warsaw? Where is good to go?
Quite interesting and safe. Pubs are what one usually has for the night.
What advice would you give future students heading to Warsaw?
Well Warsaw is generally a nice city, enjoy it, have fun and capture memories. Carry warm clothes! And well have a flexible budget.
