Why did you choose to go to Warsaw, Poland?

To be honest, Warsaw wasn't my first choice. However since the other choices didn't come out, I decided for Warsaw. And after all I'm really happy. It was the best semester, I met people from all over the world.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

The scholarship has took for the entire length of stay. 300 euro per month.

What is the student lifestyle like in Warsaw?

A great one :) Lots of good clubs, lots of parties.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Warsaw to other students?

I was studying in Kozminski University, and this one I can highly recommend! Warsaw isn't a beautiful city, but everything is about people. And ESN team in Kozminski University is doing a great job for Erasmus people.

What is the food like?

Very similar to Czech cuisine, so no surprise for me. You can taste polish traditional "Zapiekanka" and "Gofry" in the city centre on every corner.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Warsaw?

Per Internet quite quick.

How much does it cost to live in Warsaw?

Accommodation costs are relatively high, but Warsaw is still the cheaper part of Europe of course.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Polish language belongs among Slavic languages so it wasn't difficult for me. Yes, there are language courses available.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Warsaw from your city?

The most economical way to travel to Warsaw from Prague is by Polski bus. But it takes 11 hours.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Warsaw?

There is a long street in the city centre called "Nowy Swiat" which is full of pubs and clubs.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Warsaw?

I can recommend very tasty and cozy coffee in the street Nowy Swiat called Petit Apetit.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

The Old Town.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Warsaw in the future?

If you are disappointed that you are going to Poland and not to some more pleasing country, don't be! Erasmus is the great experience, no matter where...new friends are all that matters.

According to me it's worth it to take a trip to Wroclaw, Gdaňsk, Sopot and Krakow.
