Why did you choose to go to Warsaw, Poland?

I have chosen Warsaw because I wanted to know more about Central and Eastern Europe. It's very cheap in Poland so it allows us to do a lot of things, to travel, to party and to discover!

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I stay here for 10 months. I received ABOUT 900 euros for the whole year.

What is the student lifestyle like in Warsaw?

The ESN is very active in Warsaw, they plan a lot of parties, trips and others activities!

Would you recommend the city and the University of Warsaw to other students?

I recommend the city for sure! It's a perfect city with everything needed to enjoy your Erasmus! I'm studying in SGH School of Economics so I don't know about the University of Warsaw but I think both are very good universities!

What is the food like?

You have a lot of choices but the typical food are dumplings, pancakes, bigos, potatoes... Not healthy at all but it's good!

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Warsaw?

No and it was quite easy because there are a lot of groups (also in facebook).

How much does it cost to live in Warsaw?

About 350 euros per month.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

I can't say that Polish is easy to learn but it's fun to learn a new language and it can be useful. In Warsaw almost everybody speaks English, I mean you can live in Warsaw without speaking Polish but when you leave Warsaw for other cities sometimes it's difficult to find English speakers.

I think Pawilony is the best place to start a party.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Warsaw?

I can recommend Spacca Napoli for pizza lovers. Also, Hoza and Rozana are probably my favourite restaurants but it's more expensive. U Szwejka is a cheap restaurant and not that bad.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Warsaw uprising museum and museum of the History of Polish Jews should be visited!
