Why did you choose to go to Warsaw, Poland?
To visit Eastern Europe! I've never had the chance to travel there. Therefore when my school proposed that I go on Erasmus, I chose Warsaw, the Phoenix city!
How long is your stay for? How much aid do you receive?
4 months, for the second semester. I receive the Erasmus grant, amounting to €500. You have to know that life is much less expensive than in France for example.
How is student life in Warsaw?
Great! Very dynamic! There are many outings for young people to go on: activities, bars or nightclubs! The students are very welcoming and always ready to help!
Would you recommend the city and the university of Warsaw to other students?
Yes! There are a lot of Erasmus. It's the best way of meeting other people and cultures. There are open people and ready to party!
How is this country's food?
It's not bad. There are a lot of products made with sweetcorn and there is a lot of white meat too.
Did you have any difficulties in finding accommodation In Warsaw?
No, there are lots of websites which offer accommodation. The Erasmusu website, for example or Facebook with groups of Polish students.
What are the living costs in Warsaw?
The cost of living is low. You can eat in a restaurant for €10 for example.
How is learning the language? Have you been to any language courses organised by the University?
I have English classes for my ECTS credits and all of my other classes are in English. It is possible to learn Polish by signing up to classes.
What is the most affordable way of getting to Warsaw from your city?
It was by plane.
Which places would you recommend to go out and party in Warsaw?
To go out and party, there is Lustro, Park club and the Babylon place.
And to eat in Warsaw? What are your favourite places?
The old town! It's brimming with small, friendly and very good restaurants.
What cultural visits do you advise?
The army museum, The culture palace, getting lost in the old town, The royal palace...

Any advice to give to future Erasmus students in Warsaw?
To have a whale of a time! And to make the most of some new experiences!
