Why did you choose to go to Warsaw, Poland?

Because my teacher was living here in the past for his Ph.D. study and he had good experience about it.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

1 year.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Warsaw to other students?

I was in Warsaw university of technology for 1 year to pass my sabbatical leave. Warsaw is nice city for living and it not difficult to pay for life expenses.

What is the food like?

The variety of food are enough in my opinion and the taste is good.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Warsaw?

If rooms in dormitory are already prepared from university side, it will be easier to request for accommodation, otherwise it will be a bit awkward.

How much does it cost to live in Warsaw?

It depends on people but in general, if you live in dormitory, it can cost about 1000 to 2000 PLN each month.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

It takes time to learn Polish language even with language courses at university.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Warsaw from your city?

Just by airplane.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Warsaw?

There are different places for eating out. But in my opinion it is better to go to Centrum as there are sufficient places for eating out and more.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Old town in the north of Warsaw is the most beautiful culturual traditional site to visit.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Warsaw in the future?

It is good to visit other cities in Poland during your stay, specially Kraków and Gdańsk in the north.
