Erasmus Experience in Warsaw, Poland by mahammad

Why did you choose to go to Warsaw, Poland?

I have many reasons to choose this country and especially the city of Warsaw.
One of the most convincing reasons is that the Education Level is better than many of the European countries. I have many friends from other European countries and from Poland too. I listened all the experience of them and it gave me a significant first impression about Poland.
Warsaw is Multicultural city and with the population with hospitable manner.
Additional i would like to add which is more important for me rather than different European cities Warsaw is so quite city with wonderful view.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I am not Erasmus student that is why I could not give much information about it. I have some Erasmus friends they got approximately 400 euro it covers all of their living costs.

What is the student lifestyle like in Warsaw?

Student lifestyle is so colorful here in Poland. In all Universities there are several clubs, each club joins students from Same cultures and also different cultures and it makes student life so joyful and educative and enhance the experience of students

Would you recommend the city and the University of Warsaw to other students?

It is doubtless i would like to invite student here to study. there are some Universities here in Poland ranked at first 100 universities in World ranking. It describe the level of Education here in Poland, Warsaw.
The Warsaw it the capital of the country despite other capital cities it protected its beauty, history is alive here.
while walking the architecture tells the age of the city and development of city.

What is the food like?

Polish people has a wide range of Traditional meals. There are plenty of them that is why i can not describe all of them.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Warsaw?

Finding accommodation is not so difficult and also not so expensive here. the cost is changeable. Because you an want to stay in University dormitories, hostels or maybe in rented flats.

How much does it cost to live in Warsaw?

Living is Warsaw does no cost more than different European countries. As I mentioned before it is all up to person.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Approximately in all universities there are plenty of available classes to learn Polish language.
As to me the polish language is a little bit complicated language.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Warsaw from your city?

it would be great to mention all the ways to travel here from my City Baku, I it two available way to come here by driving or by plane.
Both way is so interesting for me while coming by plane you do not pay for extra eating costs and travelling time is so short, by driving it is also interesting that you see different kind of countries, cities.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Warsaw?

There are plenty of places to visit in Warsaw at night. One of the the historical part of Warsaw called Old town. This place does not loose its beauty at night too, just increase its beauty with the constructed lights that make people to think they are in fairy tales.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Warsaw?

There are many restaurants here some International restaurants others Traditional restaurants.
Same as other European countries here the McDonald, KFC,and etc are available
There are also traditional restaurants that can be found generally in Old Town and some specific places in Warsaw.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

I would recommend students rather than visiting one or two sites they would better use google search engine to know about different aspects of the city.
Because If you would like to know about more about culture of the city we need to visit several sites.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Warsaw in the future?

The Warsaw will give u experience that you will never forget with its hospitable population and also design of city, architecture, and several other beauties.
